Compared to its predecessor Suunto 9 Peak, the Pro model has more than 50% better battery life: 21 days in normal use and up to 40 hours when the best GPS accuracy is continuously on. The most powerful Suunto sports watch to date also includes improved GPS positioning, which allows it to connect to up to 32 satellites simultaneously. Among the watches in this size category, Suunto 9 Peak Pro Pearl Gold is one of the thinnest and lightest on the market. It has been tested to US military standards (MIL-STD-810H) to ensure durability in all conditions. A 125-175 mm long silicone strap is attached to the fiberglass reinforced frame, with a width of 22 mm at the attachment point.
